Jason,
I’m just a retired physicist who is now an artist. I do wood carvings, since my name is Carver. I am not a professional who needs to survive financially on my art sales. But I love what I do and I love interacting with people who admire my art and sometimes buy it.
I enjoy and learn from your postings and from the comments of other artists on each one.
I wish you and your family a wonderful Christmas and New Year. What you at doing for the art community is unique and extremely valuable to both hobbyists and professional artists. Please keep up your good work and I hope your gallery continues to be a great success.
Merry Christmas to you and your family, Jason! I look forward to your help and information in 2017!

Thank you for your insightful posts, Jason. Merry Christmas to you and your beautiful family.
Hi Jason,
My copy “Paul Gauguin” by David Sweetman arrived on Friday and I already love the biography of the artist put forth brilliantly by Sweetman. I’m someone who loves art history. I remember spending most of days during college and summer holidays to read and know about artists and art history in the library that was in the U.S Consulate Chennai, which was 2 miles away from where I lived. This habit of mine developed a great involvement towards the subject, including American art history. Just like how change is the only constant thing that keeps changing, my life changed and evolved in many ways. But my strong love for art history has never left me. Usually art history is considered to be a boring subject, but I personally believe that being an artist , knowing about art history actually empowers me, gives a deep insight into the past of many artist and art movements.
I request you to write more reviews on books that you have read lately or in the past and share it with us, to help people like me. I’m grateful to you for all of your works that you doing for us. This 2016 is special to me because just like how Akumal Ramachander found Harold Shapinsky, I think I found you, though on a very micro-level I compare myself here to Akumal Ramachader only on the basis that we both come from the same nation.
Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year to you and your family! Thank you!!
Jason,
You know what makes me wonder all the time, when I think about my above experience in U.S Consulate library, it motivated me and drove me crazy all my life that one day I wanted to be a successful artist, but not one minute in my life I ever imagined that I would be in America. Well, Here I’m now and on my journey to become a successful artist. Guess what gave me that confidence. Its you and your writings. So, once again I thank you from the bottom of my heart and may God bless you and your family with great happiness , health and prosperity!
Happy Holidays to you and your family Jason!
