Artist Ashley Anne Clark lives on remote Prince Edward Island in Canada’s maritime provinces. Clark focuses on wildlife subject-matter and shows her work in galleries in Canada and the United States. In her early thirties, Clark is still in the early phases of her career, but she’s already learned a lot about the business.
“It’s good to remember that it is a journey, and can be a struggle at times,” Clark says, “but as long as you just keep pushing forward and keep letting stuff out and keep creating, and eventually you’ll be moving forward.”

Terrific hearing Ashley Anne talk and enjoyed her insights. She makes an excellent point about thinking more about what and why and how your work is being created so you can talk and write about it. Oh, how I wish I could go back to PEI ! By the way the link you posted is not working but I was able to find her website on my own. It would have been great to see more of her work on the website.
I thought I recognized her work! Not sure where we saw it… maybe at Moonsnail? It’s a shop in Charlottetown. We went to PEI in the Summer of 2019. Lots of fox there, snowshoe hare, bald eagles and ospreys and ravens, and I’m pretty sure we saw a coyote one morning near our rental at Thunder Cove Beach. Thank you for this interview. Elisabeth
Fantastic Podcast. You have the unique ability to take real images and add a surrealist view. I am trying to do something similar in Photography.
Would like to visit PEI. Do you exhibit in the Boston area?
Keep up the Great Work!

Always interesting learning about other artists journey towards success! It’s fun to be able to relate and often learn more for those of us who are professional artists.
